Accidentally deleted photos

I accidentally deleted all my pictures on my phone with the "gallery" app it is synched to my Google account. So am I able to download "Google photos" and recover them with the trash file? I have a Samsung galaxy s5 if that helps

Moved from the Lollipop forum to the S5 forum. How did you delete the pictures? Did you select them all in the Gallery and then delete them, or did you go to the App Manager, select Gallery, and Clear Data there? I'm trying to determine if you deleted the actual photo files, or only the database that the Gallery uses to index the photo files stored on your phone.

Use My Files to look in the /DCIM/Camera directory. Are your photos still there?
