Accidentally denied ADB Shell in SuperUser

Right after I rooted my phone, I was constantly getting the "shell allowed su permissions" notification and it was a nuisance. I thought a quick fix would be to deny the shell superuser permissions. I was unaware of what I was denying, and am now unable to allow new apps su permissions. I thought I should uninstall su and reinstall, and now not only can I not allow permissions, but NONE of my apps have permission. In the command line when I type in ADB SHELL, it Says error: device not found Any SU commad returns Permission Denied

I understand how ignorant this mistake was. Regardless, I dug myself a pretty deep hole here. Any help is more than appreciated. I have scoured Google with no results. Nothing similar in forums.

I also tried re-rooting my phone with motochopper. It is how I rooted the first time. It said successful the first time, and I am still without root.

To cover the first part of your post: Changing Super User apps is like changing carabiners for climbing. You attach one before removing the other. Same thing applies. You install a different Super user app, and need to give that superuser permission before removing the one you no longer want.

I would try reflashing a stock ROM, regaining root access then follow above steps. You probably used the actual Superuser app. It was good but I think the developer gave up on it. Super SU is the one I use now, and it works wonderfully.

I didn't actually try to change superuser apps, I just tried the Root Checker app after re-rooting and it failed. I uninstalled the superuser app the motochopper came with, but yes I believe I am using the original superuser app. I will be using the Super SU app once I re-root now!

I've never flashed a rom before, and I don't have an unlocked bootloader. I've read in a few places that it doesn't matter and a few that it does, so I'm not sure what to do at this point. Is flashing the same as restoring the phone to factory settings?

I have seen a LOT of Razr HD and MAXX roms for the same JB version, but I take it because they are different phones they have different roms. Is that the wrong assumption or do theyy all run on the same rom? I can only find an earlier JB version for the MAXX HD and the kit kat version

This is the only link I've found. One issue though, and I don't know if it's even an issue. The main article says it is for Razr HD/MAXX HD, but the download link says Razr HD. I assume they are compatible, as they are both XT926. However, when I click on the Droid Razr HD Firmware downloads, there are 4 versions for 4.1.2 JB. They have 4 different blur versions(which I'm assuming are the same as build versions) and my build isn't listed. They have builds 9.16.9 and 9.20.1, while my build version is 9.18.94

Not sure if this is relevant, but when the KitKat update came out, I tried to download it twice while my device was in this state, and it failed. I'm guessing this is due to state. Because of this, I don't think I would be able to upgrade or downgrade build versions.

I found the link to that in a guide to Restore stock factory firmware and unroot. If I understand OTA, it isn't, it's using RSD Lite to flash the stock Rom. Sorry, I should have added that before, I didn't think it was relevant. If you said the build version didn't matter, I was going to follow the instructions in that article to unroot/downgrade. I don't know if that article changes anything, I obviously don't know a lot about this stuff. But technically I don't have root access anymore.

Skimmed over everything...The RSD tool sounds a lot like Odin for Samsungs which is basically a PC program that is geared toward flashing various files to devices like Androids.
The last link you provided seems rather solid.

Some tips:
-Follow all instructions, Charge the phone to minimum 80%.
-Take your time, read over everything several times.
-If you can, try to find a YouTube video or two.
-Don't be afraid to break out a notebook and take notes.

Guidelines that I would suggest if this were a Samsung and Odin:
-Make sure the device drivers are installed. In fact, test the device in the proper mode before doing anything.
-Don't let your PC go to sleep, not even the screensaver while this is running.
-Do not unplug anytime during the process. This most likely will brick the device.
-Don't use any USB hubs.
-Use a cable that you are sure is a data cable (the one that came with it should be ok. If you have a Blackberry cable handy, use that)

1. Yes. Always a chance, although this is small. So long as the ROM being flashed is for your model number, this should all be fine.

3. Technically, the chances of a brick are the same no matter what you do. Small, but still there. Bricking aside, the only thing you might run into is if there is no root method for the most up to date version of Android for your device.
