Hi,

After running 'rumrunner' I assumed the phone was S-OFF, but unfortunately it wasn't. So I installed the Google Play Edition Rom with S-ON. Now I'm stuck in a boot-loop. Installing back the stock ROM is not possible, as I cannot connect to the internal memory of the phone.

Does anyone know how to fix this? You would be a life-saver!

Thank you!

With kind regards,

Maarten

Had same error.
You forgot to flash boot.img after flashing your rom.
Use HTC Ine toolkit 2.2

1. boot to your bootloader (hold volume down key and wait)
2. go to fastboot
3. extract boot.img from your rom's zip
4. in command line use this:
fastboot flash boot boot.img
and
fastboot erase cache
5. restart

this should fix your bootloop.

Hi,

Thanks for the reply and solution. Yesterday I fixed it though, by using a mini-usb to USB-female cable with a USB stick attached. So I could install an original ROM from the USB stick. Pview! But the problem with my phone was that it was still on S-ON.... I learned my lesson and I'm not gonna fool around anymore with this.

ts bit too late to ask but still , if i flash with s-on a gpe rom and fastboot boot boot.img will that solve the problem and the rom which requires s-off will run fine ??
