I contacted Google Play Store support about why our phone is specifically never shown in the newish feature of showing which device and version the reviewer was using.
For example:

I'm in the process of forwarding this email to HTC and hope that they will address our phone being unsupported for use with the Google Play Store ASAP. I'm sure the more attention HTC got on this the quicker it would happen. It may be a minor thing, but incompatible irks me.

*****Almost as good as the computer version
I like it. I really do. The operation on my Epic 4G Touch is very smooth. I wish it had some more features like my computer version such as trip planning. And by all means make sure your phone is plugged in while you use this app. It's power hungry.

Hi Paul,
Thanks for writing back. I’m happy to help see what’s going on. I reviewed your account and unfortunately right now, the HTC Vivid isn’t supported for use with the Google Play Store app or with play.google.com, which is why you're having dfficulties.
I know this might be confusing, but not all devices running Android are licensed to use Google Play. This happens because manufacturers use the free Android software on their devices, but sometimes these devices don’t pass Google’s compatibility requirements to have the Google Play Store app installed. To help with this confusion, we’ve published a complete list of supported devices here:
Supported Devices - Google Play Help
To see if your device can become a supported device, or if you have any questions or doubts, I recommend contacting the manufacturer of your device directly. I’ve provided a link below for your convenience:
HTC Mobile Phones - Product Support - Smartphones Help
Thanks in advance for your understanding; it’s very frustrating for us when our users have problems with unsupported devices since we can't help any further. If you have any follow-up questions about supported devices, please let me know.
Regards,
Brice
