Acer DA220HQL (install custom rom)

I would like to ask you if there is any way to install a custom rom (detailed guide) and which one is suitable for the specific device. That would help me a lot as i have got an Acer DA220HQL (Ice Cream installed) and needs to be upgraded to as much as possible a recent android version that is suitable for it via custom rom.

Is it possible to be rooted via KingRoot without using PC?

What Android version its on ?
The best place for root is XDA forums, I'm not sure that device is popular for root but can ask there.
