Hey everyone. New to Android and new to Android Central. I have a 7" Acer tablet that was recently updated to KitKat 4.4.2. Since the update I have to manually enter the WiFi password every time I turn on the tablet which I didn't have to do before the update. I've tried deleting/reinstalling the connection but no joy. What else can I do?

Tia.

Welcome to Android Central! Is this only with your home network, or with any network?

Have you tried rebooting the router, by unplugging its power for 10 seconds and then plugging back in?

And it would be interesting to see what happens with other wi-fi networks that require a password.

Factory reset would be fine--it's just a hassle reinstalling all of your apps and setting it up as it was before.

It worked! What a relief. Q: How do I remove app icons from the home screen under KitKat? When I long press on an an app icon a X Remove appears at the top of the screen, but when I go to touch it the Google search bar reappears. 😞

Never mind. I figured it out. Drag and drop. 😊
