Not a good sign...

Yeah, that's why you should immediately put a screen protector on it, but that is particularly bad for it to be that quick.

Problem is that it is a screen protector.
I know that. But it's no longer user replaceable and more expensive than a regular screen protector. They made a big improvement in the visibility at least from the Turbo 2 to the Z Force. Not sure they had much farther to go this time.

That's not at all surprising with ShatterShield.

this forum had a great recommendation for the 1st gen, it was a Verizon branded one they applied in store. I had it and it worked great.

hopefully they make the same one for the Z2

So buy this phone and then immediately slap a screen protector on the shatterproof screen to "protect it" for $25? No thanks.

Par for the course with the DROID TURBO 2, Moto X Force, Moto Z Force Droid.

Look on any device forum here and everyone is slapping screen protectors on their phones. Screen protector keeps it from getting scratched, just like any other phone. This phone is Shatterproof, unlike any other phone

I've never used a screen protector. Not on my Droid 2 Global, not on my Droid Razr Maxx, not on my Turbo. I've never gotten a scratch on the screens. I never used a case until my Turbo, and only because the ballistic nylon was slippery.

It is shatterproof unlike other phones, but it is also prone to scratches, particularly deep scratches, far more than any other phone. The tradeoff isn't worth it. The chances of me needing the Shattershield are very slim, but the chances of me needing scratch protection are very high

Everything I read said that it's 100% replaceable.

I have had mine for 1 week and used it extensively with not a single scratch on the display and I even carry it around in my front pocket. Just put a screen protector on today just in case. Love the phone and the snappy response of apps and fingerprint scanner. Battery gets me through the day and then some.
