Just got my pre-ordered GS3 from verizon, but want to sell it and keep the money to pay full price for something this fall/spring (not ready to give up my Tbolt just yet having fun and this was my last chance to keep unlimited and get a discount.)

QUESTION: Verizon corporate store said I needed to activate and then deactivate the phone before I gave it to someone else, or since it was ordered online under my phone number, a store would not activate it for someone else. Does this sound right? I want to sell it as "New in box" type of thing, If I don't activate it first, will the buyer have problems?

Dont knw if u got an answer to this question but i wouldnt activate then unactivate the buyer could do a esn check to see that the fones free n clear for activation.now show me the money

I did the same thing just recently. I had an upgrade available on a line, I bought the SGS III and sold it. The phone had to be activated in the store, but then I just switched it out with a flip phone that I had and it was in the clear. Then I put it on eBay. Don't take the plastic off of it and they will never know that it was once activated. Good luck.
