Just FYI, I bought mine this morning but I had to leave it at the store. Due to the number of people trying to activate phones, the system is slowed (stopped) and not taking activations...she told me to get a cup of coffee, run some errands and come back.

Ah, that is interesting.

I wonder if that's why the online ordering is delayed in responding. Usually it processes fairly quickly.

I had to call 611 after leaving the store. The 3g wasn't working, but the guy got it up quick. Also, my old phone is still active on 3g...strange.

Well, we have 2 of them at work and our IT guys have them right now. We don't have LTE in our area yet, and they don't seem to connect to 3G either. They're roaming. Let the It guys deal with CS.

I'm seeing other users reporting issues with 4G, and I myself am seeing 1X connection with my Droid X right next to it reporting 3G...and I'm in a 4G area so something is amiss.

*228 won't even work. If you try it just "dumps" the call.

How do we update our PRL now if we can't dial *228?

Didn't see this thread until just now and *228 just dumps.

I had my own activation nightmare.....i got to the store right at 830 like i was supposed to...they werent even open yet...finally at 845, they opened and i was waited on promptly...and thats where the speediness ended....I ended up leaving the store at 10:15.........very aggravated...the store I visited was a corporate store and these people had absolutely no idea about anything on this phone, let alone trying to activate it with the 4g SIM card in it....Finally, after 3 calls to the customer care center, I left the store with my Tbolt in hand.....

Sorry, a past thread keeps gettign refered to?

However I know, that I know, I watch my salesperson do it 3 times (I am lookign at my phone log right now.) *28899 three times. Third time worked. Have have no issues with 4G/3G

I spent 1 hour and 45 minutes at the Best Buy store as they had lots of problems activating the 4G service. After that I drove home testing the network speeds at stop lights (man this thing is fast, 20Mbps up and 39Mbps down).

Once I got home while trying to setup Google Voice I keep receiving an error that GV could not verify my phone number as the txt failed. I manually tried to send a txt but it also failed. So then I tried to place a test call (which was done in the BB store as well and it worked then) and I get a message that my service is not active. After calling Verizon and being transfered around a few times and spending 30 minutes on the phone with them, I was told they would call me back in a few hours to see if it was working then.

Clearly in my description above I skipped listing all the trouble shooting steps Verizon took including hard reseting my phone.

I'm extremely frustrated right now

I tried to search for this post and couldn't find it. Does somebody have a link to that post please?

same here..... I would like to read that as well... I'll be getting mine at 3pm today and hope I don't have any issues. I'm in a full 4G area here in Southern California.

haha they had a hard time activating mine and the guy's next to me.. eventually they activated by themselves... :'D

I had the exact same experience today.

I'm still waiting for my return call from Verizon. I'm not able to send/receive txt's or make outbound calls. Although it appears people could leave me a voicemail that I can't pick up yet. The strange thing is, my data service is working.

I am new to Verizon so maybe this has something to do with it.

*228 doesn't work!?!?

So whenever I type in *228 it just automatically ends the call as soon as it is initiated, happen to anyone else?
