Sorry if there is already a thread on this - I searched but couldn't find one.

I decided to upgrade the Fit 2, which works flawlessly with my LG v40 running A10, to the Active 2.

It simply won't finish connecting with the app - it pairs, but then hangs on "finishing....". I've tried all the workarounds I found on Reddit and YT and still can't get it to work.

Any ideas? I love the device, but it's useless to me unless it's connected; I'm ready to give up and take it back at this point. So frustrating. Hoping somebody here has a solution to try!!

which phone is it??? This thread you said v40, the other thread you posted in says v60???

anyway, there is a youtube video showing how it is done. I found it searching using connect galaxy active 2 to lg 60 as search words in google. One thing, you may not get all the features the watch has to offer connecting to a non-samsung watch.

Yes, sorry, I must have mistyped in the other thread - I'll go back and correct. It's a v40 running 10.

Is that the video that says turn off wifi as Bluetooth connecting? Doesn't work. Tried it a few times, and no go.

I've noted that plenty of Samsung phone owners have had this issue too - it's not limited to non Samsung phones.

I'm so disappointed, as the watch does everything I'm looking for and need at a decent price on sale.

I know it makes them sound a little "Appley," but this is why I stick with Samsung mobile devices—they all work together. My phone, tablet, watch and ear buds love each other. :p I doubt Samsung goes out of its way to ensure that their devices don't work with non-Samsung gear; at least I hope not.

Well.... I went to Best Buy to return it, and the Samsung tech and I tried it again just to see what it would do. It took a LONG LONG LONG time on the "finishing pairing" screen (about 8 minutes), but it connected (to contrast, the Fit2 connected in seconds, so I had no reason to believe this would be so long). Neither of us have any idea why it finally worked (unless it's because the tech connected it to a Samsung phone to see if it was the watch itself, and somehow that reset something?) but I'm not complaining! Now that it is connected, has updated itself, and is running beautifully, I'm loving it!

As for the Samsung ecosphere, they *do* market it as any phone running Android 5 or higher which means .... it should work on any phone funning Android 5 or higher; I wasn't going to buy a new phone just to run a watch lol That said, thinking ahead I suspect my next phone will probably be Samsung unless LG come up with something special, which is one of the reasons I chose the Active over a Fossil or google watch.

In any case, absolutely no idea why it decided to work, but it now does. So weird.
