Hello Forum
This morning when I woke up, I hit the home button to check the time, expecting my usual lock screen, full screen, pattern to unlock, clock at the top, photo background. The usual.
Instead, in one of the maddeningly few examples of the S4 doing something intelligent with its AMOLED display, I got just white clock, none of the rest of the screen was on.
By the time I was fully awake and poking and prodding, the screen was off, and the usual behavior had returned.
So, was this a bug, never to be seen again, or a feature, that I can make battery-saving use of in the future?
I should add, I've tried addons like the Xposed one that tried to do this, a la Moto, but it was quite laggy and I uninstalled the addon and Xposed.
Thanks for any suggestions.
