Active notifications on Kit Kat

They worked great in 4.2, but since the upgrade to 4.4 (especially with e-mails) when I swipe up it doesn't take me to the e-mail 100% of the time. Anyone else seeing this?

You are not the first person I've heard this from;I personally haven't seen this though. I only use the gmail app though is this a different email app?

The GMail App works fine. Its the other one where you can "Add an Account" which is acting up.
