Ad banner covering articles on mobile site

See my update, but it, too, was premature. I am still getting the pop ups, even having uninstalled both apps using that ad server. Argh. No idea what to do now.

I just turned Request Desktop Site for AC and the banner disappeared. Guess I'll let that be the solution.

My guess is that one of these ad networks is using something that isn't yet detected by Lookout. For now, I'll use the "Request Desktop" workaround, but I'm certainly not satisfied with that as a solution. I'm going to keep looking for a real fix. Hopefully, as more people discover the problem it will get some real attention and a solution.

Wish I knew more about how to find fixes, but I'll keep an eye on this thread in the hopes that you are successful.

Banner ads for mobile site themes are a big, stinky $FAIL. Sites need a better way to attract readers and generate revenue. Popups and banners that ruin the content are a WMD against visitors to a site.
