Adaptive Brightness to low

My wife has Moto G Pure. It's set up with adaptive brightness on. The issue is that in a very low light environment it sets the brightness level to low. I have tried manually adjusting the level however on the next occasion in the same room and lighting it goes back to the lower level. I have turned off adaptive brightness but this not a great solution although she could live with it if necessary.

Some phones are not good with adaptive brightness like my pixel 6 pro not as accurate as my s22U , try turning adaptive brightness off then back on see if it will relearn otherwise you'll have to manually slide it over
