adaptive fast charger question.

With the adaptive fast charging, is it only the power source or do you have to get the cord as well to take advantage of the adaptive fast charging.

For example, I used the wall plug that came with my note 5 that I use the cord that came with my note 2 to connect my phone will adaptive fast-charging still work?

Not entirely correct. Most of the time the cable won't matter. Some inexpensive cables are made in such a way that they won't provide the proper connection on the additional power pin.

Small chance, but possible. Just wanted to clarify

Thanks for the clarification, I didn't think about questionable cable quality. All my manufacturer cables whether Samsung or HTC have all worked great.
