hi i wanted to add two new lines to the account to get the iphone (if and when it happens)

since the two lines i have now i only get $75 off upgrades, i figured add two new lines and cancel the old lines , only cost me about 90 bucks each line , ( after i trade in the old evo's it will cost $0)

Will this work ?

1. add 2 new lines get iphones,
2. wait a week or so and cancel the old 2 lines (ETF is about 90)
3. Trade in old Evo phone get credit from spritnt buy back (now ETF is 0)

Now i only have 2 new lines with the new iphone ( i fit happens )

My only concern is there anyway to keep one of the old phone numbers,
Say change the phone number back back to the ones we had before to use with the new lines

Just thinking ................. not doing anythign fraudly paying etfs ,and staying with sprint
I have also thought about acutally finding a couple people to acutally use the the old lines instead of cancelling them, would help out on the bill as well.

wow lots of looks no commets or replys , just wana know can i get my old number back after i cancel a line

I don't think you can. If you cancel a line, you lose that number. I don't think there is anyway to keep the existing phone number. Why don't you simply buy the iPhone outright when it is released and sell the old phone on Craigslist or eBay or something like that. That way you will recoup some of the money from purchasing the iPhone, keep the existing number that you want, and not extend your contract.

You can then add the second line with an iPhone just like normal, and cancel the other one when it is out of contract.

You can try number reservation. If the number is free it usually can be done. Cdma only though

Except A. The phone may not sell and B. Craiglist isn't as good as people say

Just presenting an option. I've never had a problem selling a phone on Craigslist. I think it depends if you are reasonable with your asking price, and your location (more people, more potential buyers).

Just my opinion...

If all else fails:

Port that numbers to Google Voice. (Not integration).

Then, that will cancel your Sprint lines. Then, you add 2 new lines. I'm not sure if you can port them back at that point; but, you could have your Google Voice forward to your new numbers and continue to give your old number to everyone.

You can even forward it your home phone.

PM if you want to know more about that.
