Add apps to home screen (but I can't find the icons?)

Android continues to frustrate me due to being so messy and non-intuitive.

I'm using a Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE - as of a few days ago it's a new out of the box installation, I was able to access my games via the Samsung Gaming Hub (and do note here that I'm not yet signed up to Samsung).

However, since a Samsung update today it's forcing me to login/register to access the games in that Gaming hub.

And yet I don't want to register, I want to have the freedom to make my own games shortcuts on the home screen.

But seemingly this is a task that defies the abilities of the sanest of people because I can't see how to do this while avoiding Samsung's gaming hub.

I can see the games and launch them via Settings|Apps but that's a pain and there doesn't seem to be a way to add them to the Home screen from those settings.

There are no other icons for the games elsewhere, only the Apps settings (and no doubt the Play store too).

So how do I add the games to my Home screen without using/registering with Samsung first and using their Gaming hub? (BTW, I also understand that the new Gaming Hub has been pretty terrible since an update a few months ago).

Hmm -- so you can't even get far enough into the Gaming Hub to adjust the setting for showing games in the App Drawer, and not just the Hub? That's not very user friendly ...

What if you uninstall the Gaming Hub? I see an option to Uninstall on my new Tab S9 FE+. Even if it only uninstalls updates and reverts to the original version, that should hopefully still let you get far enough into the app to access that setting.

Nope, can't get past the new login page to access the Gaming Hub. I don't know why but I expected better from Samsung.

I assume that uninstalling the Gaming Hub won't delete any of the games?

Correct, uninstalling the Hub won't affect the actual games at all.
