Once rooted, do all the add blockers work by restricting internet access? Alot of apps require internet so it would seem that they would still have adds. Is there one that works differently?

I use AdFree Android by BigTinCan.com (its on the market) I never see an add nor do I have any internet issues with it. It doesnt say anywhere that it blocks internet access.

They do not block internet access. I believe they only block certain ad servers. There is an alternative method of stopping ads (if you are rooted). You can use a system app uninstaller (I use SystemApp Remover found in the market) to remove "AdService" (AdService.apk). I am now using that instead of AdFree, as it takes up no memory/storage and works perfectly.

Agreed. SystemApp Remover is great for removing bloatware and freeing up space to make sure apps are completely removed from the system not just the list/running list.
