I just got the 2018 SAMSUNG Galaxy J3 a few days ago. By trimming the plastic tabs on the phone (and one on the battery) that try to prevent the user from inserting an incompatible battery, I was able to insert one from my old Galaxy S4. I use it as a backup battery as it is the same mAh and voltages as the J3 battery, but I thought of something.
The only difference between the S4 and J3 batteries are the NFC tag and a little plastic tab to prevent the S4 battery being inserted into the J3. So as the J3 has all the proper contacts, could I root my J3 then add an APK or lines of codein order to get it working?
I don't need NFC, I was just bored. If I need it I wouldn't have gotten a J3.
