How to add a new folder (with *.mp3) to Sound Picker folder list?

As you know users can change the Ringtone (resp. Notification sound) (on Samsung Galaxy smartphones) in

Setting---> Sound and vibration --->Ringtone---> Tap

If I want use a new own Ringtone MP3 in a different folder then I tap on the "+" sign at the upper right corner
and get a list of all (?) available *.mp3 Tracks on the local smartphone.

Unfortunately my new own ringtone (in .mp3) format is NOT listed. Its in an unusual folder lets say /internal storage/foobar/
So I tap on "Folders" at the bottom and get a list of all directories where Android searches for *.mp3
Here 7 directories are list but NOT /internal storage/foobar/
So Android cannot find my mp3.

So how do I add a new, different folder with *.mp3s to the indexed list?

I miss a "+" sign or "Add folder" link similar.

First, make sure that directory doesn't contain a file called ".nomedia"

Have you also considered copying your mp3 file to the /Ringtones directory?

Yes, its is already in "Ringtones" folder too.
But "Ringtones" folder is not among the folders accessible from Sound Picker.

And no. No files other than *.mp3 are in "Ringtones" and "foobar" folder

If it's in /Ringtones, it should be recognized, unless perhaps there's something wrong with the file. Where did you get this mp3 from? Are you certain it's a true mp3, or could someone have renamed it .mp3 incorrectly?
