Added Contacts Not Showing in Contact List

Using Note 10+. After the Android 11 update, I noticed when I add a new contact, it doesn't always show in my contact list on my phone. I have my contacts set to my Google account for syncing. I can search for them and find them, but it's weird they don't show in my contacts. I added a new contact using my Gmail account, and it does show up in the contact list. Updated to Android 12 hoping it would correct this issue, but no luck. Is anyone else having this issue? If so, how can it be fixed?

Was the new contact saved to your Google account, your Samsung account, or the local Phone account?

Open "Contacts" .... in the upper left corner, click on these 3 dashes / dots and then click on the current account you use for contacts, the settings with display options will be displayed ...
