I LOVE it! I just got the extended battery for my phone. It makes the phone slightly thicker, but I have to say I love the extra girth. Much more comfortable typing/surfing with one hand and allows for more control when using the camera. The door also adds more space between the lens and the lens opening adding extra protection there. The extra depth is even allowing me to thumb type quickly and accurately like I used to on my blackberry. My hands used to cramp a bit when typing, but but the "bump" gives my hands some breathing room and makes typing much more comfortable. I bought the extended battery for the extra juice thinking I would just learn to live with the bigger size. The what a nice surprise that I actually like the phone even more! We now to find a sleek but protective case...

A well timed post for me. Iwas planning on picking up the ext. battery tonight. I picked up the standard silicone cover when I picked up the Rezound. Hoped it wouldn't be an issue when I picked one up later. Does the ext. battery require a new cover?

Yes, there is a new cover for the extended battery. You will need a case that fits the extended battery, standard cases won't fit.

I'll probably get one of the bumpers that have been mentioned in other threads. I don't like having the back exposed, but if the phone drops and something happens to the battery door, it can always be replaced. The case I was using with my standard battery was a really nice black matte TPU and I read that they are making one for the extended battery too. I'm not sure if that will put me over the edge on thickness, though. It's really perfect with the standard battery, but I'm not sure I want to add yet another layer over the extended battery door. I'm thinking the difference might be negligible, so I might just give it a try.

The bumper is here:

The TPU is here:

the bumper is nice, but I needed a kick stand, so I got the shell and holster combo from Verizon.

I also love the feel of the extended battery (cover), though it is a tad heavy.

i just ordered the extended battery with the red bumper. hopefully it feels good. i dont mind the phone being a tad bigger just to get a day out of it

How sturdy is the kickstand? I passed on it cuz it looked flimzy in pix.

The kickstand is quite sturdy. I actually think it's better than the kickstand was on my Thunderbolt. I was thinking about getting the ext battery as well. Does anyone know if it fits in this case?

The extended battery will fit in the case specifically designed for the extended battery. If your case doesn't say it fits the extended battery, then it won't work.

That's what I figured. I thought I read somewhere that the extended battery fit the regular shell/holster case but I don't see how it could have fit.

Verizon advertises that their shell and holster will fit both, which is sort of true, but it is designed for the extended battery, so it would be way oversized for the regular battery.

Another thing I've noticed is that the extended battery cover seems to make using the volume rocker MUCH easier to use. Anyone else notice this? Unfortunately once I get a cover to use with the ext battery I'll be back to the recessed rocker, but it's enough to make me consider going naked.

i noticed that as well. i just love the power i get with this battery and with the side bumper the phone just feels right

I was a bit concerned w/ it at first cuz it burnt through my first charge using it for some reason. Fell in love during charge #2, though.

Same here. After my first charge/discharge cycle, I'm at 12 hours of use with 25% left.

I life in a rural area so my phone is constantly searching for a signal. Not to mention I was syncing/testing some google stuff and was constantly syncing for a good 90 minutes. I could easily see myself getting 16-24 hours on one charge if I needed too.

On my best day with my Nexus and the extended battery I was dead by 7-8 hours.

i leave the brightness up now and most settings on and i get 12 hours of heavy use through out the day
