Added unlimited HOTSPOT for $30

I think you may see this behavior change after your free MHS is deactivated. I noticed that too

Just got this on twitter:

Me: @VZWSupport I dont see the option to add Unlimited 4G hot spot on my Tbolt for $30 on my account on my verizon. Do u have the feature code?

@VZWSupport: @tgousetis It doesn't look like we have that feature available online yet. It was just added to our system. The code should be 76153. ^MSF

Hope that helps everyone!!!

I just called and got the best rep ever through the business accounts. I didn't even have to ask for the unlimited plan, I just said I wanted to add the hotspot feature and he said, "OK, you have the unlimited data plan, so the mobile hotspot feature for you is the $30 unlimited plan." Or something to that effect. He knew it was there, he knew I qualified, and he never even said anything about the other plans. If anyone has any trouble, PM me and I will give you his direct number.

Great to hear. My rep told me not to *228, but rather to do a reboot of the phone once I was done with the initial phone call. I restarted and it worked as well. However, they were adamant about signing me up to a new tiered plan. They even pretended not to know what I was talking about. (or so I thought/think)

If not for this forum, I may have signed onto a new plan Thanks to all those who are constantly posting and help those of us who are too wet behind the ears to know any better.

Thanks all.

You should NEVER EVER do a *228 update on a 4G phone. PRL's are pushed automatically and it SHOULD disconnect automatically but there is the chance that the *228 can mess up your provisioning.

The new unlimited MHS/MBBC was apparently added after the training materials were circulated. You will notice that it wasn't int he info Mortiel told us about a couple weeks ago. Some people do know about it as my friend int he store texted me about it the morning of the 7th.

So I haven't updated and still have the free hotspot. Can I just not update and keep it? I use it to connect my iPad quite often.

Eventually Verizon will be shut it off from their end by removing the provisioning code from your account. You may get a few extra days out of it but that's it.

Hey guys i just wanted to report in that i added the Unlimited Hotspot to my phone...simply called and asked...he didin't know about it at first i gave him the code that 0pusX got "76153 then the guy put me on hold for about 5 mins then came back and said it's all good and added it...At first there was some confusion because i kept saying "tethering" when it's really "hotspot" stupid semantics.

I was also able to add $30 Unlimited Mobile Hotspot!!!!!!! Thnx Verizon For that:)

Just got the best rep ever at Verizon! He knew exactly what I was talking about when I called in. Said to give it about a hour to activate in the system and then to reboot my phone and I should be in business. :)

Was I the only one whose mobile hotspot app let me subscribe to the $30 unlimited feature straight through it? Seems like everyone is having to call CS. Mine said something along the lines of "you need to subscribe. The service is $30". I hit ok, then confirmed, and verified online later that I have the unlimited hotspot.

You lucky devil........:D

I still used hotspot, weir thing after the update I opened but it didn't show any message to subscribe. I log on to my account went to change features but it does not give any option to subscribe to hotspot there either.... Am I gonna get charge anyways even they never gave me the option to subscribe or not.

Not likely. When did you add it?
