Adding a file to Blu Studio 5e?

OK ... Other demands on my time have slowed down enough for me to spend a little time with my (not activated) Android phone. Android version is 4.2.2 (jellybean) and will not accept further updates.

Exploring the specs on the phone reveals dates for factory set up dating back to 2013 and 2014. The website, https://twrp.me, lists different versions of TWRP available. I suspect that the latest version may not be compatible with the phone. Which version do you suggest?

After numerous failed attempts to transfer files to the phone, I am satisfied that I cannot make it happen. I have tried all USB and wireless connection methods that I could find via my research. I have not attempted linking my phone and pc, nor making the phone a member of Windows home group because that is not my desired method.

I have installed Microsoft's phone app and created a Google Play account. All attempts have revealed two drives related to the phone in Windows File Explorer; however, the drives are greyed out, and opening the drives reveals no files found. I have attempted other things which I have not chronicled.

This has been a several day journey for me. I suppose the factors contributing to failure include:

1. phone not activated
2. phone OS too old
3. my parameters of USB or wireless connections only

Your thoughts?

I wish I could help you more. When you mention wireless methods, are you talking about an app like AirDroid or Wifi File Explorer?

Ok, it's worth giving those apps a try -- they're in the Play Store.
