Currently, if someone shares a contact in WhatsApp, and you tap the contact, the 'Add to contacts' button will automatically add the contact to Phone contacts by default.
Is there any way to change that so contacts from WhatsApp (or any other app in which contacts can be shared) will be saved to my Google Contacts by default?

Many thanks.

I hadn't noticed that :( Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be a setting for you to select where the contact is saved :(

The only 'workaround' I could find is to open the contact information in Whatsapp, copy the name, tap the phone number as if you were to dial it, and then add the contact from the Dialer, not the shared contact from Whatsapp.
