Adding Shortcuts to Folders/Files to homescreen

Hopefully there's an easy way to do this and it's just slipping my mind. I want to make a "School" folder on my home screen with easy access to Powerpoints, PDFs, Word docs, lecture captures, etc. But I'm drawing a blank on what to do... Anyone have any advice?

If you updated to ICS, just put them on your desktop and then place them on top of each, it will create a folder for you.

No problems with creating actual folders; it's the act of getting the files there in the first place that's stumping me. Thanks though!

Saw someone suggest using Astro to do this. I think that's how I did it on my phone when I tried to figure out how to do it a while ago... Having that ASUS file manager prevented me from getting Astro, and that's probably what was throwing me off I kept looking for a shortcut to the ASUS file manager haha

YEP - downloaded Astro to the Prime, went to Widgets, and Astro did the rest from there
