Adding to contacts via Google Maps

Due to having to reset my phone I now have the new Google Maps. I no longer see the option to save a search to my contacts. Is there a work around for this, or am I just missing something?

did you update the google maps app??? a reset will wipe updates.

no. prior to the reset i was on the older version which worked fine. Now I have the "new' version where the little blue arrow icon is gone. It works except for the lack of the abilty to add a search result to contacts.

Ya, I don't understand why they removed this option in the new "updated" version. I uninstalled the current google maps (Not sure if you can do this without root) and I downloaded and installed the old google maps from here. Download Maps 6.14.2.apk Android app be sure to turn off the option to automatically update apps.

Did that work for you? I too hate the new google maps V. 7.xxx and that is keeping me from updating to a newer phone. If your phone came with the older version you can revert back to it in settings/apps/maps/uninstall updates.
If you have a kit kat phone you might be able to try this:

Shame on you Google ! If I wanted this pushed on me I would get a Apple POS !
