Adding two lines.

So I have two family members that are on Verizon but are interested in joining my shared plan on att. Right now I have two lines. If they do this would att do a credit check on me since it's my account or on them? Does att offer separate billing options on shared plans so they could pay their portion? I'm assuming if they buy on next or on contract that my bill would go up more than just the $10 a month to add a line? Just trying to figure out if this is something I should do or not.

Whether or not they do a credit check will depend on how recently the last one was done. And they will check your credit since it is your account.

AT&T, as far as I'm aware, does not do separate billing like Sprint used to (I don't think they do it anymore, either). It'd all go to you and you'd have to pay.

You can set your email up to forward the bill to the other people so they know you're not ripping them off, but that's kind of the best thing that you can do.

Last credit check was close to 2yrs ago when I switched to att. So I'm guessing they will check it. Thinking it's not worth the credit check on my record just to help a family member out...

Yeah, they'll definitely do the check. Good luck!

When we added lines for a little while they didn't check my credit and this was after 6 years. I have had no lates though.

4 years ago when I switched off my dad's ATT account and onto my onto my own they approved me with no deposit and I didn't have any credit. ATT uses payment history as part of their own internal credit rating. When I got a new phone on a 2 year contract no credit check. I have always paid on time except twice once 30 minutes late and 6 hours late. This was within their grace period so no late ect.

With good payment history they seem to sometimes skip the credit check, at least from my experience.
