Flash Player?

Looked around, didn't see anything about this. Is there a way to install Adobe Flash Player or a work around to install it? Every time I try installin it, it gives me an "Application not installed" (which also happens with some other apps I try installin). I had some other bad phones that installed flash player that weren't supposed to, wondering if theres a work around with Optimus V so it's far better than the others that had it workin. Thanks

Sorry but there isn't away for you to have flash player on this device.
Its processor doesn't have the capabilities to handle it.

Alright thanks, quick question, how can you set "install app" option default from Sd card to automatic, I read that this option will fix most of my problems for installing apps. Example, i couldn't install angry birds, I removed sd card and it installed fine (even though it was from market).

The processor is actually well capable of handling it, the issue is the instruction set. LG Optimus phones use ARMv6 while Adobe Flash 10.1 uses ARMv7. Right now I'm working on a way to recompile an ARMv6 compatible apk...

Really cool to hear someone is working on this! :) In the meantime if flash within a browser is what you're looking for? skyfire works pretty well for that!

If you manage that, you'll be hailed as a God King by thousands of ARMv6 users. However, the mere mention of it is likely to get you thousands of e-mails and messages asking when, how fast, and will it be free. Good luck.

That would definitely put you on the short list for greatest contribution to the lg optimus one family.

How can you recompile it, when Adobe doesn't give out the source for Flash?

What I never understood is that youtube is based on flash, and there is a youtube app that plays you tube videos for our phone....So why is it so hard to implement flash on our phones?

I think its more about implementing it to browsers.
Not sure why but orginally even after froyo was released for the Droid X flash wasnt available.

To be more precise, its a android-adobe issue.
They arent supporting our phones for one reason or the other.

It's not hard. It's trivial (Understanding Engineers: Feasibility - The Fishbowl)

The issue is the phone doesn't meet the minimum requirements for Flash. It doesn't mean it won't work. What it does mean is no one wants to support it because they don't want people contacting them to complain it's too slow.

Personally I don't see the need for it. I have Flashblock installed on my desktop anyway; on the other hand I'm not down with Apple blocking it either. Should be up to the user.
