Hi, my name is Jerry. I have had an EVO 3D for a little over 2 months now. Generally, I am very satisfied with the phone. I am wondering whether rooting is for me. My old phone was a Blackberry, and I pulled the OS and installed a hybrid, which solved several issues I had with the phone. Is this similar? Pros/cons? Warranty issues? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks, gang!

Thanks for the link. Will rooting give me better battery life? Will I be able to dump bloatware and free up some memory? Will I have better memory retention if I root/remove bloatware....

Rooting alone won't give you better battery life - a custom rom will do that. Getting rid of bloatware and tweaks will help the phone run smoother, faster with better battery life. If you want to retain the stock feel, CleanROM is fantastic. I have great battery life with it. Check it out.
