Ads on charging screen

I have GoSMS on my work phone, and that has ads on the charging screen. Drives me nuts, but that phone doesn't let me customize ringtones for individual contacts, so I needed to go third party.

Even if there exists a phone that doesn't let you do give individual contacts their own message tone natively, there are several apps that do so without putting lockscreen ads, like Textra, Yaata, ChompSMS, Evolve, etc.

Anyone else out there getting ads on their screen? This only happens when I am charging my phone. Its always on the bottom. It's annoying. Anyone know who to get rid of it? Examples are shown.

Happened to my wife last week. Just click on the 3 dots in the upper right and you will find an option to remove the lockscreen ads. Hers was caused by a flashlight app but there are several apps that cause that to happen.

Mine just started to have ads too. I think it was the Airbrush app. So I uninstalled it and so far so good.

Please report these apps to Google before you uninstall them.
