Ads

Last week I began receiving unwanted ads on my notification tray as well. Galaxy Fold 3.

It looks like Samsung is trying to push these abhorrent ads to see if it will generate some angry. If nobody complains, they’ll continue doing that.

I called them and complained. A lot. Hope a lot of people did the same.

Ads for what? Are you sure Samsung was pushing them?

This happens a lot with androids. There are several ways to deal with it. The easiest is to download an ad blocker to your phone. Or use a secure wi-fi connection at home with an ad blocker. I prefer to see ads because it makes it easier for me to get what I need and what I'm looking for. I also can't disable ads because I use a popup builder, which is part of successful advertising on my site. However, I also get some unknown and unnecessary items in the recommendations, which is unpleasant. This means that someone paid for these applications and some SEO services show them everywhere they can, just by knowing a lot of IP addresses.

I've never had this problem with any Samsung phone (and I've never used an adblocker). It's caused by some app the user has installed. You can tell because it won't happen in Safe Mode.

You're right, this isn't a Samsung issue or even an Android issue. It's a rogue app issue.
