How do I get rid of ads appearing on my home screen of my Samsung galaxy 8+? I downloaded apps that get rid of it but the Google ads still pop up its annoying it just started like 3 weeks ago

Any apps you downloaded recently (besides the Ad detectors)? Unless you know which app this is coming from, it's really hard to 'debug' these kind of situations...

Trust me, it's an app. Usual culprits are battery savers, file managers, emoji keyboards, and shady-developer games. If you've used a reputable ad network detector (like Lookout's) and it hasn't detected anything, unfortunately you'll have to try and figure out which app is causing them. Or do you have a 3rd party launcher, perhaps, that might be displaying ads?

Try booting your phone into Safe Mode. If it was a virus or something wrong with your system, those ads would show there too.

Any app downloaded is a 3rd party app. A launcher would be something to replace Samsung's HomeScreen/App Drawer experience, like Nova.

Go over any app that you've installed lately and one of those is surely the culprit.

You should see it as Samsung Home, I believe. If you've never changed it, chances are it's not that. As for knowing which app, unfortunately the best bet is to let an Ad Detector network app try to figure it out, but if not, only going app by app would be the only way to do it (or just google the name of the app you suspect and I'm sure someone else would have found the same issue).

To boot up the S8 into Safe Mode (this will prevent any non-system app from running at boot, so no ads should appear in that mode) turn off your phone, then turn it back on by pressing and holding the power button until the Samsung logo appears, then release the power button and press and hold volume down until your phone boots up into Safe Mode.

yup, they would. So stick to reputable ad detectors. I usually do Lookout's app, but some have reported that it doesn't detect some apps.
