Advanced Calling Broke my Bluetooth Contacts

I searched for this, but couldn't find an answer. Ever since I switched on Advanced Calling, whenever I get a phone call, the country code is added to the number. It's not an issue on the phone, but when synced in my car, the contact isn't recognized when someone calls. This means it displays a number instead of a name when someone calls while I'm driving. Has anyone encountered this (or found an easy workaround for it)?

I should mention, it seems that if you add the country code to a contact, Google recognizes it and just puts an American flag (or country's flag).

Edit: that last part was a bit ambiguous, it takes the country code away from the contact and adds the country's flag.
