Question Calling my contacts problem

Hello,
I have a problem with all my contacts. Nobody can call me, but I can call them. But when they try to call me, they immediately get the answering machine and I get later a sms that someone tried to call me. First I have taken contact with my provider, asking if they have blocked all mobile numbers (in Belgium, starting with 04) to call me. They told me that everything should work. Yesterday I was with someone who still has a landline. So I asked if I could try to call my mobile and it worked. In the evening, I then removed a contact with a mobile number from my contact list and asked to call me .... yes, it works too. I added this person back to my contacts and yes, it still works. So, now my question, do I really have to delete all my contacts and then add them again? Otherwise, is there a simple way to make a backup of my contacts ..... then delete them on my mobile and then restore the backup on my mobile? Can this be done over USB to a PC or so? I am an old man in age but on "mobile level", I am a greenhorn. Can anyone help me? My mobile is a Motorala G9 Power.
Many thanks and have a nice day.
Ronald.

You mention numbers from 04 as if it is only these numbers, is it only numbers from a certain region or prefix, or is it calls in general?

The fact that you were able to get calls from numbers not in your contacts, then remove and add a number getting calls from that number in both states makes it seem like something that was enabled or disabled and affects your saved numbers prior to this change but not after the change... You've also made a strong case for it being related to your contacts app. I might also go so far as to say it is related to the app and not your contacts in general, if only for the reason that you added the contact back and it wasn't affected. That and calls are largely controlled locally by apps on the device...
Hello Methodman89 , I just edited my question, I have a Motorola G9 Power. I use the stock phone dialer. I looked all over in my phone, I have no blocked contacts or numbers, "Don't disturb me" is off. And I haven't load anti spam apps...
Hope this helps you, greetings.
Ronald.

I don't know the underlying issue.
I'm sure someone else will be along with a suggestion.
You should have an option in the contacts setting of where the contract information is saved ie phone Sim, Google account.
You may be able to 'restore' just the Contacts, but I'm not sure how to do that on your phone.
Good luck

Which contacts app are you using?

Have you cleared the cache for your contacts app?

If your using something like Google Contacts and have your contacts backed up to your Google account you could also try uninstalling the app and adding it back, then allowing your backup to populate your contacts.

VidJunky, you found for me the sollution. I cleared the cache of the stock phone dialer. Scrolling down , I found "contacts" too and I cleared the cashe there too. I asked a contact to call me and it works again!! Many many thanks!! About the "04" numbering in Belgium, all mobile numbers start with these two numbers. International notation : +32 4 . Now all my contacts are mobile numbers and so nobody could call me. But I'm happy, it works perfect now and I HOPE I won't forget that lol. And I use the standard installed app's when I bought this phone. I'm really a greenhorn , using this stuff. I have more questions that will follow and that I will ask here in the forum. Many thanks, you made my day!!

Androidcentral is a group that can be proud of itself. The group is even better than AI! I presented this problem to ChatGPT and he let me do all kinds of things.... but he doesn't know how to clear the cache yet. By chance I found this group via google. Wow, a lot of knowledge is stored here. Thanks again for the quick solution!
