Advanced LTE settings on T-Mobile

My phone calls have become pretty much unbearable when advanced LTE is on. When I turn it off there is no problem at all. Anyone else experience this? Anyone have a fix for it? I've called T-Mobile twice and all they do is offer a replacement.

After being on and off phone with different tech support reps this morning it seems my area is in between two LTE towers but not in an "Excellent" LTE area. So when I have advanced LTE turned on, it is not picking up a good enough signal to be great quality and worth using. When I have it off, my call quality is excellent. This only just recently became an issue. I'd say a week and a half before the stagefright patch came out. Can what they are telling me actually be the case, or was it just to appease me for now. I've never had a problem with advanced LTE being on before until recently. Any help on the matter would be greatly appreciated.

You might give posting a query on Howard Forums a shot. Admittedly, it's a longshot, but you might happen on someone in your area who can verify T-Mobile activity.

I have the same issue and posted a similar thread after searching online and finding nothing as usual. The only issues I can find was Verizon this and iPhone that. When I searched with the word Nexus 6 it was even worse with useless articles saying to use voLTE that it sounds better and still plenty of posts with people using Verizon. Can Google and Bing get any worse?

I too had to turn off voLTE which actually sees a little bit of a boost with my battery life.
