I was just wondering if there was an advantage on installing CM7 in the internal memory on the nook color instead of using an sd card.
I myself can't see anything positive coming from it. Just limiting yourself to one OS instead of two OS'.

Here's what I think:
1. Much easier to install
2. No need to worry about SD card brand
3. Less chance of breaking the terribly designed SD slot
4. More stable
5. Easier to troubleshoot if you have a problem
6. Easy updating through rom manager
7. I really don't see the point in more than one OS as CM does everything I need.

I too think CM7 covers anything and everything I want to do with my NC better than the stock OS. And as has been mentioned many times the SD card slot is prone to breakage, thus, swapping out the SD card all the time is a recipe for disaster.

Hmmmm...... makes sense.
Didn't know about the sd slot being choppy.

If you are running CM 7.1 it has a boot manager on it so you don't have to take the card out to go back and forth between CM 7.1 and Nook OS. You just hold the N down while it is booting. If the only concern you have with doing it this way is the possibility of the SD card slot breaking then this should take care of that.

I tried CM7 off the SD card for a few weeks, would get regular FCs on several apps, but stuck with it while I was on the road for the holidays. When I got home, I installed on the internal EMMC and found a noticeable performance boost and love having a stable OS!

I bought this to root to a tablet. I ran the original OS long enough to register it. I never upgraded it past 1.0.0. I have no use for it at all. Installed to eMMC and have the external card as an additional resource. Every app that doesn't specifically require internal memory is installed to the external card as are movies, TV shows, music, etc.. Technically I can do more with my Nook than the boss can do with his Ipad, *I* am not constrained by the company admins/proxies because I can connect to whatever network I want. (Okay, that's a limitation imposed by the company but I'm rubbing it in where I can. ;) )

With the boot manager it is also possible to have a second OS in eMMC.
