Did you ever have one of those mornings where your so busy it seems like you are passing your own shadow?

Well today was one of those for me, I ended up with the morning shift off so I decided to take my wife to work and keep the truck. Any she works at the local wal-mart and I went in with her to pick up a few things while I was there. As usual I carried my Xoom in with me, for some reason I put it in the cart just in front of the handle.after grabbing the things I needed I went to the checkout and paid for everything. It all fit in one sack so I pushed the cart to the entrance and grabbed the sack it felt odd but I didn't know what was wrong but I just chalked it up to stress and went on out the door.

About 2-3 hours later I went to look for my Xoom and couldn't find it. After looking in my truck, shed and house I couldn't find it anywhere so I called wal-mart and asked for the cust service desk and asked the associate if anyone had turned in a tablet PC, she stated one of the cart pushers had found it and brought it over to the desk and I could pick it up there.

When I got there I asked her if I could talk to the associate to thank him, so she paged him for me. On my way out I passed the store manager and bent her ear to let her know how great the people they have working there are. She stated she would make sure he received some type of recognition for his honesty. As for me I tried to slide him a little something to show my appreciation, but he wouldn't take it.

Yeah, why in the heck would your XOOM in to WalMart? Also, looked in the shed? Why would it be in the shed?

My XOOM is either in use, in my breifcase, on the desk, or with in arms reach.

Why take it in the store? What was the point?

Umm, maybe because he wanted to? Maybe he was thinking of using a shopping app? It doesn't matter. The point is that someone was honest and did the right thing. Goes to show there are still some good people in the world!

Awesome ending. I'd be freaking out. As for taking it in I do it all the time. I carry around over $2,000 in camera equipment and my Xoom in a backpack. Not leaving it in the car when I'm out shooting and need to pick something up.... and maybe he was in the shed working on something before he left the house so he checked there. Again good thing you got it back.

I actually use my Xoom in the grocery store all of the time. I'm either using Grocery IQ, or my favorite grocery store's (Wegmans) website as a shopping list. Grocery IQ has a nice list feature, that also includes coupons. Wegmans website is nice in that it organizes your list by the aisle or section for your local store. I really wish they'd develop an Android App for this, though... be nice to not be dependent on their in-store wifi.

That's all well and good. To each his own. Sadly I think that many out there would have taken it.

In the shed: please don't answer that lol

In the store: handy reference tool. Barcode Scanner to check competitor prices, customer reviews, etc

You got luuucckkyy!!!! Most people would have snatched that right up. Luckily it was an employee because walmat records there parking lots, that's prob why it was returned, person prob new they were on camera.

Xoom: Unlocked, Rooted, Overclocked at 1.4, and on Tiamat 2.0 Manta Ray.

Kyocera Echo: Rooted and Awesome.
