Maybe goes without saying - but I was in the store today asking about their current promotions. She said they have dried up at the end of October as they usually do so that AT&T can save money for the big holiday push. They had $100 off on smartphones that you put on a new line WITHOUT a contract.

She said their best promos always come on Black Friday (which is only 25 days away if you can believe it!) so I am going to wait to buy until then...

Yes, but again, if it's a popular phone they will make plenty more. They are looking for revenue and this is not a brick of gold. It's a cell phone. Cool, yes...

I don't think you'll see anymore Edge production per se..It is simply a developmental product. If it is well received and there are no unforseen issues with the design, I would imagine it's possible we might see curved edges on both sides of the Note 5 and possibly the S6 but it doesn't sound like Samsung is going to keep an open production line on the current Edge.

Sent from my Samsung Galaxy Note 3

I agree and considering that this is Samsung, we might see a Note Edge 2 in April anyway.

Well I guess that is my point. Rest assured, there is nothing limited about a product that creates buzz and revenue. By Samsung calling it "limited" they do two things. 1) Created additional smoke and mirrors value...I bet you are nervous right now that you may not get one, right? 2) If it fails they have an out by saying it was a limited run. At one point the Shamrock Shake was a limited edition too...but we have seen it every year now for how long? 20 plus years?

Nope, not nervous that I won't get one. It's already on order. While it's not impossible for them to cancel it due to lack of the ability to fulfill it, I doubt that that will happen.

Well I am trying the stores tomorrow...we'll see what kind of luck I have.

I doubt will see another update to the Edge that soon it seems this is Samsung's way of testing the waters and get feedback to release something end of 2015 and thats a maybe if not then we will see an update in early 2016

Exactly that too

EXACTLY. Its a concept phone. It's no way on earth you would see another version of this phone in April. Depending on the feedback however, they more than likely will incorporate some of the features into other products. April is 5 months away. This phone was released 4 days ago. R&D alone won't be enough to get another product out by spring....

Samsung is the company that released the Galaxy Gear, the Gear 2, the Gear Neo, the Gear Fit, the Gear Live and the Gear S in the space of 13 months. The smartwatch segment was new to them in October 2013. I have no doubt that they could release a Note Edge 2 five months after the original. Whether they will or not remains to be seen.

Could I PLEASE have this phone just a few days before it's outdated? :( By the way, I picked one up this past Friday and I absolutely love it. Wasn't sure how useful the edge screen would be but I can now say it is NOT just a gimmick. Works really well for me. :D
