Advise - locked or unlock version?

Contemplating whether to get an unlocked or locked (At&t) s9 plus? I have an unlocked version on hold for me at Best buy. I pre-ordered it in beginning of March. But now At&t is offering 50% off the S9 plus with their next program which is very tempting.

Should I pick up my unlocked version, or go with the locked version? I've always enjoyed the freedom of unlocked. Is there much difference between the 2?

Someone will have to chime in here as I haven't had AT&T for over a year, but when I did, unlocked phones would not get VoLTE or HD Voice.
I want to say that with the Pixel 2, this changed, but I am not sure about Samsung phones. Might be worth checking the S8 forums and see if it worked on those.

Man I'd say unlocked. As I've heard a couple of negative things about locked phones.. I think one of them is about them receiving os upgrades very late( I'm not sure)
And I know that would **** me off..
But on the other hand 50% off is a pretty sweet deal!
But I'd still recommend getting the unlocked one if money is not really tight. Because nothing beats freedom!
