So I just downloaded this for the first time today since it was .10 , Anyway since I have never used a launcher like this what do I need to know. I mean are there any other must have apps that go along with that I need to download ?

I would appreciate any advice from anyone that has used this before on the phone. Thanks !

I would search the market for any themes if you want a different look. Also, don't forget to check out the launcher settings and tweak them to your liking. There's a lot you can do to customize ADW.

this may be a silly question but is it easy to revert back to stock settings from the ADW customizations?

It is NOT obvious. I for one was caught by this, bought ADW, pressed on it, and it changed my entire interface, and there is no way to revert. I was shocked that ADW did not come with some method of reverting to stock. Some Googling help me find Home Switcher for Froyo in the Market, which allowed me to revert to my stock interface.

^ thank you! I think I'll hold off on getting this for the 0.10 cent special.

I have a stock Thunderbolt and was looking for something to change it up but without the headaches.

If you wanna go back to stock go to your managed apps and click on ADW Launcher EX and tap on the "Reset all defaults". Then when you back out back to your desktop it will ask you what one you would like to launch. In this case tap Sense, and set it to your default if would like too.

It's easy to go back to stock. Either reset defaults in the appliations menu or download "home manager" from the market to switch at will.

Thanks cgardner and vick. I was wondering about that. I thought I might give it a try even though I do like Sense. Something different! ;)

Is there either a way to import HTC widgets to the launcher, or similar widgets, such as friend stream?

can only use HTC widgets with Sense....but there are similar widgets to HTC Friend Stream that you can use with other launchers...I believe Go makes a similar widget that can be used with Go Launcher or any other third party launcher

Beautiful Widgets are awesome too! They can also be found on the market for $.10...Get it while you can!

Thanks, that's invaluable. I can't tell you how freaked out I was when I downloaded it and it just changed everything, and no obvious way out. I think this info should be more readily available in the app or in the documentation, right up front. Thanks again.

Your very welcome! I am more than sure you will be able to help me out one day! As I have had my phone for about 6 months and I am still learning!

Yes it should be more available! As they update their launcher this may change in due time!

Beautiful widgets...it was .10 yesterday. I hope you had a chance to grab it.

I think all of the apps are remaining $.10 for the full 10 days. I could be wrong but when I look it up in the app store now it still reports as being $.10

But you are right. Its a great pack of widgets for all most being free! If someone has not yet gotten it then I would go download it!

You can create a catalog and leave out unwanted apps. So yes, but it takes a little work.
