I keep getting this error every time I try to connect. Can someone please help me

Have you enabled Developer options and USB debugging?

If you have ever installed kies, even if you deleted itUninstall it. Do this by downloading it and running the included Uninstaller. Then make sure usb debugging is on. That's what I had to do.
