After 4.3 update my Icons are HUGE ?

Hello all, Got the OTA update today on my S4 GE and all is well after the update with the exception of:

1. Google maps will not update to the latest version, I get an error code.
2. My icons on my homescreen are much larger, like my folders now take up most of the screen once they are open.

I really don't care for this as it seems to be unnaturally large.......

Look like this is normal.

Thanks...... I really do not care for it. Seems almost silly to have a folder open and take up suck of a large space.....

Did you "force" the update by clearing the App Data of Google Services Framework?
If so, that can be what's causing your Google Maps problems.

If the size of the new icons bother you that much, then try nova launcher and shrink them down to something like 80% from the nova settings menu. I didn't like the large size of icons in 4.2, so I've been doing this ever since.

My update finished less than an hour ago. My icons are not perceptibly larger with the stock launcher. I use Go launcher normally and they are not larger with it running.

Clear your Google Maps App Data.

Next time, there's a better/lesser known way than that - in the Dialer type *#*#checkin#*#* then check for an update. Almost always works immediately without any adverse effects, shhhhh

That looks pretty normal to me! Maybe a teny tiny bigger then my Nexus 4 icons were on 4.2

Same thing on the HTC One GPe. They are a bit bigger and I don't know why.

The icons definitely got bigger, but I think it was a good change, they looked kind of dinky before.

The annoying thing is that now the icons in the bottom row are smaller than the ones in the main section. It looks wrong.
