Aloha,
Using the normal S5 phone keypad (not "emergency call") I made a 911 call. A dialog box popped up with options...one was something about callback mode; I do not recall the other, which is the choice I made at the time.
Sometime after making the call, I noticed the phone was unusually warm, and about three hours later discovered the battery at 3%. I immediately switched to ultra power saver mode and plugged in to the desktop for charging. After a couple hours, the battery was still only at about 25%. When I got home around 6 PM. I again started charging and left it on overnight. I was shocked in the AM to find it still below 50%. At this point, I powered down/up and continued to charge. After about 3 more hours, it was 100%.
It has been several days now, and it has been working normally (not power saver mode), usually dropping to around 65% by the time I get home from work, and easily charging overnight to 100% again.
Does anyone know what those 911 options are, and more about them? Any other explanations, especially as to why it did not fully charge overnight?
I do not leave location "on" except when I specifically want to use it. Wifi and Bluetooth are always on. Phone is always on (even overnight). There was no phone usage during the time I had it on power saver. It has been working fine since I bought it about a month ago.
