After Android 9 update, my camera app keeps crashing...

I use the stock camera app (never felt the need to use anything else on any of my samsung phones). After the update (Android Pie 9.0), when I go to use it, it's just a blank screen. Also, when the camera crashes the unlock feature for the Iris scan doesn't work either. I have tried clearing the cache and uninstalling (which is not a possible thing), I force stopped it. Nothing works besides restarting the phone, which is a pain in the butt to keep doing.
Anyone having this issue?

Some here on the forum had to send phone to be repaired for this issue.
You can try factory reset before you go that way .

Did you only clear the app cache for the Camera app, or did you wipe the system cache partition? https://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-34311
