After GB update, need Backup & anti-Bloatware Apps

After a slow start, I got the Epic updated with GB. Now rooted, CWM, SU, and GPS zips flashed. I'd like to get a good backup software installed - Titanium seems well-regarded. Do I need to get the Pro version?

Also, will that app. also let me remove Bloatware? Or do I need a separate app for that (suggestions)?

Newbie question: Would either of these apps get added like the zip files, through CWM? If not, how?

Titanium is good, however I personally like My Back Up Root for backups because its literally a one click and done... Same for restores...

Titanium does have where you can uninstall apps or freeze them but I see many people having for more difficulties with Titanium.

Both Titanium and MyBack Up Root are free from the Market and do have Pro versions but really aren't required.

FYI, in the future lets post rooting and hacking question in the Epic 4G Rooting, ROMs, and Hacks section. It just makes everything neater and easier for the mods to maintain.

Thanks ;)

No prob .... Just a heads up , I try my best to help the mods keep things in order because they can't be everywhere at once with as many sections as AC has...

Good luck on the backup & bloatware, hit me up with if you have questions.

Do you have an app you'd recommend for removing bloatware? Or will My Backup Root handle that, too? Thanks.

MyBackUp Root does have a "freeze and unfreeze" option so it doesn't remove them but it freeze's them from being active.

My suggestion besides Titanium is either the SDX app removal (Google it..) or actually go in with Root Explorer or ES File Explorer to the /system/app directory and manually remove the apks, but I only suggest that if you feel comfortable with doing so.

Best suggestion I can make is make a Nandroid Backup in CWM before you start anything so you have something "stock" and "working" before you make changes this way if something goes wrong you can restore this backup and start over.

A Nandroid Backup? Just go into CWM and choose 'backup and restore' and backup that way?
