After getting multiple notification my screen automatically locks on my Lenovo k5 note

After getting multiple notification my screen automatically locks and when i try to open it with fingerprint sensor it says unlock it with pattern for additional security .. i am getting very much irritated with this .... It also happens when watching a video on fb and screen automatically locks but video keep playing in background till i open it with my pattern .. plz help

Welcome to Android Central! Do you have a case with a flipcover on? If so, are you folding the cover to the back of the phone? This can sometimes trigger the phone to sleep momentarily.
