After having my tech go back to defaults on my phone, my bluetooth does not work

My bluetooth comes on, announces that I have 7 hrs. talk time but no matter what I do it wont connect to phone

Welcome to Android Central! Which phone, and which Bluetooth device? What do you mean by going back to defaults--did you do a factory reset? Any reason why you did that?

In Settings>Bluetooth, unpair the Bluetooth device, then try re-pairing it. Make sure the phone is set to being discoverable. Make sure you're following the Bluetooth device's pairing instructions closely--is there a connect button that needs to be pressed at a certain time?
