After unlock, can you stop apps from returning?

Once I unlock the phone, will all my apps automatically re-install once I enter my google ID? If so, is there a way to stop this?

To stop open up the market and go to(my apps) then click cancel all if they have started to download.

remember, your apps will re-install but no app data will restore...unlocking wipes everything including your sd card...

Contacts can be backed up to Google. Any files (pictures, music, etc.) can be transferred to your computer and transferred back after the unlock. You cannot backup data from any apps without being rooted, which obviously requires you to wipe first
