After update android messages works!!

So after the emui 5 Android 7 update many people gave noticed that Google's message app hasn't worked properly and had the "unknown sender" name for every thread. Well today I just tried it again for hahas and it works now! (At least for me) Ive been using textra for years and love it ,but I still really like Google's message app.

This is good to know - thank you! I've been thinking about trying Google Messenger off and on; so it's good to know that that bug doesn't seem to exist anymore lool.

I'm glad Android Messages works now. However, the quality of pictures sent using MMS is horrible. For example, the original picture taken with the phone was 2448x3264 2.57MB. It was reduced to 480x640 133KB over MMS. I'm on Tmobile network. I can't find a fix other than using another messaging app

Unfortunately that's a limitation of MMS. Large files can't be sent using MMS. You'd need to use something else such as uploading the pictures to Google Drive and sharing the link.

I understand the picture needs to be compressed. but 480x640? my wife sends me pictures on her iphone and i receive them at 1536x2048 644KB and she is on ATT. at least these pictures look acceptable. the ones I send are crap. I've sent pictures using google hangouts and those are acceptable too.
